I thought I’d start my first new year’s post on a high note. I’d been thinking about moments in movies when I laughed so hard it actually made the entire movie. The more I thought about it, the more I realized there are some truly amazing funniest scenes in movies.
Here are five, in no particular order:
From Bruce AllMighty, “Evan Baxter’s Broadcast”
From Office Space, the “Printer Scene”
From Tropic Thunder, “Les Grossman Gets Angry” (actually, it was hard to pick just one scene from this movie. The whole movie deserved an award).
From Monty Phyton’s The Meaning of Life, the absurdly surreal “Find The Fish”
And another Monty Phyton: from Life of Brian, “Bigus Dickus”
A few more should be mentioned that didn’t make the list simply because there are no clips available: The Green Beautiful, the Orchestra Scene is probably one of the funniest moments in movie history. And another moment from The Meaning of Life: the “Mr Death” scene which is also unavailable.
